I believe eps 8, 10, 12, and 13 are the diamonds in the rough to watch for, though I've only seen 10.
Hm. Maaaaaaaybe I'll check it out. I, like Plei, stopped around episode...five, I think it was. I didn't like any of the characters and the show wasn't very entertaining or enjoyable.
And Ackles driving a classic car? Hot even then. Who knew?

i've loved Torchwood and don't really get all the negativity i've seen about it. of course, i don't expect every show i watch to be Buffy circa seasons two/three either. *shrug*

The story telling is still very uneven, but I have warmed to the characters. Jack, well he just gets better every episode, as does Gwen. Ianto becomes more interesting with still plenty of mystery left. Really enjoyed the last Suzie episode. Owen and Toshiko are not as well developed, but that was improved upon in the last couple eps. Whitefonted although totally vague, but being mindful of the not actually aired here status.

I know, I know. He played some kind of nobleman too, for heaven's sake. Clearly must have been a knight from Georgia, with that frakkin' Southern accent. I don't even think he was trying.
I can't believe that they didn't show the Johnny Cash SPN promo ONCE during the two hours of Smallville. Sure, they showed the other one three times. . . but I wanted to see the Johnny Cash on on TV.

Yep, and I loved it. And I think Torchwood was missing that sense of fun, opting instead to be all dark and edgy.

Oh, I didn't even get to the watching it part. I was just grabbing it intending to watch, and fell out of the habit.
Now I am watching DA for the Ackles pretty *and* to play Spot The Battlestarians. Definitely not for the plot though. Never for the plot.
Occasionally for the plot. Brainiac made me cry. As did that one with the name I can't remember where it ends with a pile of sad transgenics on a couch. And, okay, fine, I MAY have got a little misty at Freak Nation. I'll even not mock the Action!Logan from that one.
Plus it gives me my badfic OTP, one of my goodfic (hard to find) OT3s, and the occasional bit of exceedingly hot slash with proxysex undertones. What's not to, well, okay, not love, but at least... keep around as a fannish fuck buddy. (It's my Fandom with Benefits, I think.)
