Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm rewatchng "Bloody Mary." That is one creepy episode. It reminded my a little of "The Grudge." I think one of the reasons I like Supernatural is because, like Angel, it's got that really dark atmosphere going for it. Not just that many scenes are played in the dark, but there's always an element of horror even in the sunlit scenes. That last shot of Jess's apparition gives me chills. The music doesn't hurt either. Plus, mirrors as psychoanalysis!

So it's "watch stuff from the Tivo" week, and I just watched Dragon Sword.

Ye gods. How much better would that movie have been if Val Kilmer and Patrick Swayze's roles were exchanged.

(Answer: not much.)

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I had watched that for the James Purefoy (yum!) and just felt used and cheap.

Yeah, I think that's about right. Two hours of my life I'll never get back. Swayze's accent wasn't even awesomely bad, it was just BAD.

and the fact that you barely see hide nor claw of dragon till the last thirty seconds, and it's just weak. I was thinking they were saving their budget so they could break out the badassery at the end, but I guess that go blown on the bloated Swayze and the chick from ugly coyote.

Yeah. The vague attempts at amusing anachronisms fell flat, and I think I could have played a drinking game to "identify shoutouts to other movies being done poorly." In fact, now I'm kinda sad I didn't.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I rewatched the last parts of ELaC and the first 3/4 of Bloodlust while stuck in traffic tonight. Dean's about to get physical with Gordon on my iPod.

Damn, I just love this show so much.

I ahemmed the first few Torchwoods, then stopped. Should I've continued?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Should I've continued?

It's been very up and down, but the ups are ZOMG

Hmm. Perhaps over the weekend, I'll seek out Live Ahems.
