Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Okay, confused:
I love being emotionally manipulated like this by a tv show!
Which show... I think you mean Supernatural?
Which show... I think you mean Supernatural?
That'd be the one! It's all about the emotional torture. And the pretty. And the love.
And grr. Can't get promo to load. Sad now.
Phew. Finally got it to load.
!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two weeks. I can wait two weeks, right?
Not seen any of it. Heard S1 is a bit slow. Does it have pretty for boys?
There's always a pretty girl for Dean to hit on or play the victim. It's all good. And I didn't think season 1 was slow at all. It had a nice build up to the season finale that I thought played it out just right. Of course, I watched all 22 episodes in about 4 days, so I don't know what it felt like watching on a weekly basis. It might have felt slower that way.
Yes, Supernatural. It's just -- there's all this conflict and things aren't just black and white.

S1's first section's a little uneven, though not what I'd call slow. Starting with Home (can't remember the ep number), it picks up and just snowballs through the end of the season to a big messy explosion of pain (tempered with some serious funny) that we like to call S2.
Female guest stars have included Amy Acker, Julie Benz, and some other Hot Chicks. Alona Tal's been recurring this season. It's not lacking for pretty girls, but it's a show about two very, very, very pretty guys. And a pretty car. And some other stuff, too.
It sucks out my brain and turns me into Derek Zoolander.
I love it so.
Home is episode 9, so that's pretty early in the season. The first episodes are based on urban legends and it's a bit...repetitive, but the monsters start to vary and the characters grow and the relationship between Dean and Sam gets better.
I missed an episode so now I have to go back and watch.
The season one eps that really stand out in my head as being OMGFLAIL worthy are probably Phantom Traveler, Bloody Mary (so freakin' creepy), Home, Faith, Asylum, Scarecrow, Shadow, Dead Man's Blood, Devil's Trap, The Benders, and Nightmare.
There may be more.
I think Croatoan was probably the weakest S2 episode (I like Jo, and therefore loved No Exit), but even then, all of S2 falls under OMGFLAIL.
