"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, I'm just reacting to Rose. I somehow managed to go completely unspoiled and so it was a total shock to me. I want my Companion back.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Walt!

Yeah, I know who you actually meant, Jen.

Also? Merry Christmas!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If I concentrate hard enough, I think I can will the transfer rate to go faster, with the power of my mind.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

so who's seen The Runaway Bride?

liked it, but i still miss Rose. i was glad they showed the Doctor missing her too. i'm guessing we don't usually get to see the Doctor pine after one of his companions.

Catherine Tate and David Tennant had great chemistry and played really well off of each other.

Thrive to spite them

I was hoping to get Supernatural for Xmas but I didn't (instead I got the complete set of Thin Man movies so I can't really complain). Today I was going to buy SPN off ebay but Best Buy has it for $24.99! Which is cheaper than I could find it on eBay -- plus immediate gratification! So after work I'm going to swing by Best Buy and then SPN will be mine!

And then I can read all the fic that's been recommended and actually understand what's going on.

I have, I have! I enjoyed it too. Completely over-the-top, absolutely bonkers villain, just like the good old days. Missing Rose and acknowledging that: good. All the leaves on the trees at "Christmastime": not so good. But there was a lightness of touch and a silliness which was refreshing and is sorely missed in Torchwood. I thought DT was especially good again too .

Watching it made me realise what else has been bothering me about Torchwood. It was supposed to be this huge, dangerous organisation, and I simply can't believe that the battle of Canary Wharf wiped it out so completely. So why is all we see of it five barely competent egoists futzing about in Cardiff ?

what i don't get is how Torchwood is supposed to be this top secret organization and yet every time they show up somewhere, people know who they are. ummm...

All the leaves on the trees at "Christmastime": not so good.

a friend of mine was actually in London when they were filming this and came upon them. she doesn't watch the show, but she did see the Bride in her dress and David Tennant. silly girl didn't even think to take a picture and had her camera in her hand.

My Runaway Bride just finished downloading, whee!

Bev! I totally didn't even notice Walt. Damn kid looks a couple of years older than the last time I saw him on my teevee.
