I saw the newest "Torchwood" last night, and liked. The "fish out of time" stuff, normally so annoying, was actually pretty well done here. Young woman's trajectory was the least satisfying, the other two were good, and even quite moving.

And it's strange to me, because I thought Nine was a much lonelier man than Ten is, so I'm a little puzzled that this is the theme they've chosen to play up for Ten -- or at least, for this season.)

But I think Nine is all about the Dr.'s lonliness, whereas with Ten, they're exploring the lonliness of those left behind.

BSG: I just caught the episode and just now realized that Baltar has grown increasingly Jesus-y for a reason: he's right. He's going to engineer a reconciliation between the humans and the Cylons.

Also, someone (sorry, I forgot to write down who) asked about Adama knowing about Hera. I thought he knew, too, but his reaction says that he didn't. Finally, does anyone remember what Amanda Plummer's prophesy to Three was? Was it that she would find love but lose everything she held dear?

According to Moore's slighty spoilery for the rest of the season interview with Mo Ryan at the Tribune (reg. req'd, blahblahblah), only Roslin and Cottle (ETA, and Roslin's assistant) were in the know about not-dead!Hera.

I was listening to the podcast last night, and found it interesting that Moore originally planned to have Adama find out about Hera's status from Roslin in his quarters and, instead of walking out, going to the bathroom, strip off his shirt, and start shaving, all while completely freezing her out. IMO, that would have given a more intimate shading to their relationship then he's willing to go for at this point, according to that interview. He says that the potential for Laura and Bill to hook up is always there in their minds, but they won't go there while they hold their current positions. The flashback ep from a few weeks ago showed them leaning towards a relationship since she was no longer president and he was just a ship's captain doing guard duty on the planet, but even then they didn't go past a certain point (beyond flirt and smoke pot).
