Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What is even happening?

And Suresh is very close to Suraj, which means sun. But, ah, Suresh looks to be synonymous with Indra. Otherwise known as the Destroyer.

Haaaaaaa. Mohin means attractive.

I thought I found Mohinder was synonymous with Indra, earlier. Tricksy Indians. Tricksy Google. Tricksy brain.

eta...

Tricksy Polter-Cow.

This site [link] equates Mohinder with Indra (which makes more sense, soundwise).

It says Suresh = Ruler of the Gods [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hokay. Here's what's left that I don't remember seeing anyone mention:

  • Why is Claire apologising to Peter in the vision?
  • Why is Simone in the vision? She's the only unpowered (apparently) one there, right? Wait--was Ando there?

I adore Hiro.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

Since the original co-starred ASH, I thought I might mention here that yet another UK show is getting remade in the US. Manchild will have director/actor Kevin Smith in a lead role.

No! Not another one! When is Hollywood going to learn that (with the exception of a few of us) Americans don't appreciate the irony and subtle humor that pervades most British comedy. Those of us that do get it are much happier watching the originals on BBC America. Even in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, shows like Doctor Who, Red Dwarf and H2G2 would lose much of their impact and quirkiness if you stripped them of their essential Britishness. I don't even want to think about a fully Americanized version of Harry Potter.

Too late. The Office is already a success. Coupling's forgotten.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Too late. The Office is already a success. Coupling's forgotten.

Trouble is, The Office is pretty much the only one that has made it past a few episodes, so the track record is quite abysmal.

Why is Claire apologising to Peter in the vision?

Maybe because she can't save him, the way he saved her?

Why is Simone in the vision? She's the only unpowered (apparently) one there, right? Wait--was Ando there?

Ando is there with Hiro. Don't forget, Simone is involved (in love?) with Peter, so it actually seems appropriate that she's there.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Don't forget, Simone is involved (in love?) with Peter, so it actually seems appropriate that she's there.

Also, she's the daughter of a man who may have had powers as well.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Manchild will have director/actor Kevin Smith in a lead role.

I'm a KS fan generally, but that sounds just dreadful.

Is anyone else listening to the BSG roundtable podcast? I'm only about 2/3 of the way through, but it is cracking my shit up. (Spoilerphobes will want to avoid it, since one of the actors is a guest star from the last 3 eps of the season, and while they haven't yet mentioned any specific plot points, they do talk some about who his character is, and which other actors he has scenes with.)

Spoiler ho's, get thee to the podcast, for it is marvelous stuff.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Trouble is, The Office is pretty much the only one that has made it past a few episodes, so the track record is quite abysmal.

Well, in recent memory. But Sanford and Son is still a staple in syndication.

Red Dwarf was at one point attempted.

Crashed and burned before even being aired, but it was attempted.

Also, she's the daughter of a man who may have had powers as well.

Too true! I finally watched last night. Nathan looked exceedingly creepy during Peter's vision.
