So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

More :

As I think back, there was only one chimp in that room. But he was very intimidating in his diapers and poker faced stare....

We use the same rules of approach with Ed Quinn.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wow. I didn't realize that chimps used on a set would still be that unpredictable. I've studied chimps - they were pretty calm when they were with the humans they knew and trusted, but yeah, in unfamiliar surroundings, probably not so calm.

Still cool though.

Ha! Now I'm picturing Ed Quinn in a diaper and a poker-faced stare.

Don't tell him.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I believe there is a whitefont exemption around here for anything even peripherally involving monkeys. Monkeys! And yes, chimps count for the purposes of the exemption. Monkey!

Also, yay Toronto. Haven't been in way too long.

Yeah I think it's because of all the lights, the actors yelling at each other in the scene and the AD yelling "hurry up". And then the set tension and they - I'm told - start to freak out a bit.

Especially when people then start to approach them like they are little dolls.

But I'm just repeating stuff I'm told by the trainer.

Because if you didn't he'd sic a chimp on you?

The Exec. Andrew Cosby insisted on "monkeys" in the episode when the idea was pitched.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The tv is MINE--Alienated, here I come!

I'm skipping the obligatory poo flinging jokes because I'm trying not to be twelve.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm trying not to be twelve.

but, why?

Oh, yeah... I forgot (having never been on one) how noisy and chaotic it must be on a set... especially to a chimp.

I didn't whitefont, due to the questionably-extant monkey exemption. Also because it's a pain.
