Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

"Heroes" broke the top ten for what I believe is the first time.

Woot!!!

I hardly know how to respond to having an arcy show that I adore about people with superpowers and issues be all popular and stuff. Guess I'll go with... yay!!

Off to find SGA and my glitter glue pens...

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

It's kind of ridiculous how much I love Heroes right now. Arc! Lovable characters! The writers actually answering some questions and revealing things that are pertinent to characterization points! The unabashed comic book aesthetics! The moral grayage! It's all very joy-making.

So, I've read a few hypotheses being tossed around the LJ land as to how exactly Sylar's power works. I no longer thinks he "eats" (ew) the brains of the supers he kills -- that seems to be too crude for the guy we met in the latest episode (and really, doesn't make a lot of sense... err, insofar as any of this stuff could be sense-making.) The theory I liked the most is that he just has an intrinsic understanding of *how things work* and the precise mechanism through which a functioning unit (be it a watch or a human brain) could be out of the norm, or "broken". But he needs to observe the object in question closely in order to figure out how, ergo the killing and the taking out of the brains.

He's like a weird mixture of Micah and Peter. In fact, Katie and I were talking about the similarity in end result (if not the mechanism) of Peter and Sylar's powers, and the fact that these two even look a little bit like each other. I wonder... if Sylar is somehow able to observe the brain of another person with ability without killing him/her (through some sophisticated imaging process), could he take on that person's power without killing? And what if Peter kills the person as he's borrowing his/her powers? Will the ability be his permenantly?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Peter and Sylar's powers, and the fact that these two even look a little bit like each other.

The first power we saw from Peter was flying, and Sylar looks and dresses like Clark Kent. Definitely some kind of mirror-thing going on there.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Okay, I have now heard more livejournal squeeing from slash fans over the most recent SGA episode than anything since the Angel series finale, so I'm throwing professionalism out the window and aheming.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

A very good interview with Jack Coleman (Bennett) on TV guide. There are some vague spoilers for the upcoming episodes, although they are nothing specific.

I particularly loved this part:

TV Guide: Don't you have a nickname on set?
Coleman: "The Face of Evil." [Laughs] Because of the promos. Masi [Oka] was relentless with that for a while. Every time I'd see him, it'd be [Imitating Masi], "The Face of Evil! Evil has a face! There's evil in the face, yes!" He really ran with it, as you might expect Masi to do. Even my daughter Tess calls me the Face of Evil. When I go to say goodnight to her, her room's all dark and I come in, back lit, casting this huge shadow on her bed, and she goes, "Oh, no! It's the Face of Evil! Get out!" She's 7! She's actually never seen an episode, because she's cordially not invited to see the show yet. But I do understand that our [performance with the] 2-11 demographic is quite strong. We're looking at it compared to other shows, and we're doing pretty well in the 2-11 demographic! I'd like to know who's letting a 5-year-old or a 7-year-old watch the show.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Every time I'd see him, it'd be [Imitating Masi], "The Face of Evil! Evil has a face! There's evil in the face, yes!"

Ahahahahaha. That's awesome.

"Oh, no! It's the Face of Evil! Get out!" She's 7!

THAT'S AWESOMER.

But I do understand that our [performance with the] 2-11 demographic is quite strong. We're looking at it compared to other shows, and we're doing pretty well in the 2-11 demographic!

I like to refer to Jimmy Jean-Louis, who plays him and who actually is Haitian, as "The Haitian sensation that's sweeping the nation."

Okay, I already loved the character, but now I like the actor too.

TV Guide: What's revealed about H.R.G. in "Six Months Ago"?
Coleman: Quite a bit, not the least of which is the revelation of how Claire in a very profound way is revealed to him and how he decides to act on that.

Huh. So...he didn't know Claire was special until then? Really?

TV Guide: You've been a guest star on some really good shows, most recently Nip/Tuck, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace.…
Coleman: Entourage....

Hey! Who was he on Entourage ?? *checks* I don't remember who that is.

Art Crawl!!!

You know -- just because her mom was Special didn't mean that Claire would be. He may have suspected that she could be but not really known.
