More on the
Heroes
spoiler(?) posted above ...
This was posted on the <omit actors name> imdb forums...
November 16, 2006 (New York, NY) - On the NBC smash hit Heroes, time-traveling fanboy Hiro Nakamura is insanely obsessed with Star Trek. TV Guide magazine has gotten word that Hiro's father will be played by Trek icon George Takei (Sulu) (in the November 27 issue; on newsstands Thursday, November 23). The new character will be introduced in a January 29 cliff-hanger.
"It was one of those lightning-bolt ideas," creator Tim Kring tells TV Guide.
Masi Oka, who plays Hiro, is also over the moon. "This is absolutely brilliant!" the Tokyo-born actor tells TV Guide. "Hiro's father is this big honcho who shows up in America with his bodyguard. He has this whole elaborate scheme to kidnap his son and take him back to Japan."
Adds Oka, "I just hope I get to say, 'Dad! Sulu is my hero, not you!' The sci-fi fans would love it!"
The Nov. 27 TV Guide hits newsstands next week.
oh yeah!
edited b/c I always get the "greater than" and "less than" symbols the wrong way around.
Oh and if anyone
doesn't
want to know about the spoiler, avoid buying TV Guide dated November 27
If the whitefont posted by Vortex stays, it might do well to identify the show it pertains to directly in the post, rather than by inference in subsequent posts.
t shrug
Mohinder and Co. could be all "we could really use this power! Let's go to Slovakia!"
This sent me to a very Captain Planet place.
It was a yam sham.
Oh you did not.
The miniseries is a sometimes psychedelic, often twisted and always bizarre take on The Wizard of Oz. It centers on DG, a young woman plucked from her humdrum life and thrust into The Outer Zone (the O.Z.), a fantastical realm filled with wonder, but oppressed by dark magic.
People, did we learn nothing from the movie version of The Wiz? This is a BAD IDEA!
Maybe they could do a scifi reimagining of "Annie." It turns out that Daddy Warbucks is developing A.I. weapons technology. They all live in a fantastic alternate reality, where no one has eyes....

The gun will come out tomorrow...
DG discovers her true identity, battles evil winged monkey-bats and attempts to fulfill her destiny.
Please, please, oh, please can Mansquito show up as the Jitterbug?
Promo Guy seems to be promising that we'll learn the Why and Why Now of it, perhaps that will have some bearing on this.
The Heroes Promo Guy? Not so reliable. I think they show him soundless clips of the show and make him guess what to say.
Re: Tin Man.
WTF?!!!??!?!?!1111!!!
Re: Heroes
So, since the beginning of the series, author Peter David has been referring to Claire as Cheerverine on his blog. I just got it today. For some reason I was reading it as Cheerevine and wondering what the hell he was talking about.
Duh.
On a more relevant note, I'm wondering if I've been on the wrong track regarding Sylar. Aside from Telekinesis, what powers have we seen him demonstrate? He got shot and got back up, but that could be due to a telekinetic shield absorbing most of the impact. Same for falling off the highschool roof. One of his victims was frozen solid before the brain was removed, but I realized today that maybe the victim had some form of ice powers and he'd iced himself up ala Iceman.
Of course, this doesn't exactly explain why Sylar is taking the brains, and I think he's a much cooler and scarier villain if he actually is stealing various powers via the brains of those he kills. I'm just realizing there's not really a lot of evidence for the theory in retrospect.

forgot to include my sarcasm. My bad.
