Godferdamn. My TiVo copy was for crap, for some reason. Can someone give me the gist of: Claire's convo with her dad at the end, Pixie's convo with Sylar (who was recognisably the actor cast, if you know it's him), the six month earlier bit in the cafe, and the preview for next week (I did catch the tombstone which explains why ikiN has such a mundane name--it's not like she got to choose it)?
I'm glad that Peter didn't flip back the locker doors, somehow. I'm guessing he remembered the power thing during the second confrontation, but there were the previous reception issues, so I can't be sure.
Missed Jackie telling Claire to run. Hmm. Jackie sure deserved the punch at the time, and I agree it was cool how the perfectly in character point for them way back when bore fruit tonight.
I do remember thinking the pictures were a little cartoony, so how could you be sure who was who...but it never crossed my mind that the one pic was Jackie and not Claire.

future wasn't changed right? Just the bits after Peter arrived, I assumed. I got a little shiver from seeing Mr. Bennett's shadow cast on the stairs just like one of those paintings.
In some strange way I like Nathan obscuring the painting. He's not nice, but like Mr. Bennett wrt to Claire, he has no intention of being selfish.

I liked how Peter was able to heal himself because of his proximity to Claire. It was a nice change to see him interacting with someone else's powers and not have Hiro swoop in and save the day yet again. Don't get me wrong... I like Hiro, but using him too much would be overkill.
Nathan is a self-serving tool. No wonder Mrs. Petrelli told Peter he was always her favorite.
Do you think he was being self-serving about the picture?
He doesn't seem to understand, however, that his level of control of his brother is weak at best. Has he forgotten the breakfast table this soon?
That was a lot of trouble to go to, to get the painting bought back from Linderman, get it shipped, and then
deface
it. But I guess Nathan had to see what was in the painting first. Given that it was his brother
possibly dead
and he could definitely keep Peter safe by keeping him away from Odessa, he made his choice. Simone had to consider the same choice before she showed the photoprint to Peter.
It's been posited. Also, if you think about it, Claire's the only one who could probably survive getting close to him. Thus, no Claire, no saving the world.
Also, if Sylar is absorbing people's powers on a more permanent basis than Peter, him having Claire's ability to get near nukeboy would be a bad thing.

If/since he's been shown on screen now, do we have to keep it out of here? Oh, wait, I don't care, because I don't know who he is. Nevermind.
I don't like Nathan much (at least not yet), nor do I like his choices. Honestly, I also find some of his characterization approaching something I am unable to swallow. I mean, no matter what my plans were, how ambitious I was about those plans, or anything else, if I suddenly developed THE ABILITY TO FLY, I feel safe in speculating that'd change things. Everything.
That said, once I saw Simone's photo of the painting, I very much understood Nathan's choice. I think he was protecting his brother, and not being mean at all. Short-sighted? So very much yes. Controlling? Way. But not mean. Not on purpose.
Yeah, he was definitely trying to protect Peter.
But when he tossed that paint at Isaac's picture I was horrified for Isaac. Totally cringing. I'm so glad that Simone had an image of the painting because it was completely IDIOTIC that she didn't. You know, before.

The scene with Pixie girl and Sylar -- and then MBG - is that the first time we've seen the MBG clearly? - Okay -- that was powerful. But I did wonder what Claire's dad is planning. I mean, is he going to further empower Sylar, tag him and release him? What, exactly, was the point of doing that with Radioactive Guy?
