I am really hoping that they don't integrate Niki/ikiN. Actually, I would love it if Niki just went away and Jessica became a straight up villain because I think Ali Larter is doing a much better job playing Jessica than she is playing Niki.

What is even happening?

See, Pixie for me is Not!Meg, but that's me mapping to a different fandom entirely.

And now in my brain, she'll forever be Nutmeg, even though I know not your Not!Meg.

I have to go watch the episode. I forgot I fell asleep during it last night, which probably explains why I kept thinking, "Huh, I don't remember that, at all," while reading most of this thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ali Larter is doing a really good job with the transformations.

I agree. It's impressive and creepy.

And looks like she can do almost as much damage as Hyde when she wants to.

Mmhmm. And, honestly, these guys look like they're capable of producing a scene just as awesome as the scene where the Invisible Man's blood begins appearing...EVERYWHERE. Which may be the most awesomely disturbing thing I've ever seen in a comic book. After I looked up footnotes and understood it, that is.

I think Ali Larter is doing a much better job playing Jessica than she is playing Niki.

It's always more fun to play the villain. But while I like the idea of Jessica taking over, I like the contrast. Seeing Niki be Niki makes Jessica all the more creeptastic.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Which may be the most awesomely disturbing thing I've ever seen in a comic book.

Heh, somehow I doubt that they would set up the scene quite the same way, though, given what Hyde did to put him in that condition.

Oh, heh, of course not. But similar in tone and execution, I think, is possible. They've been pretty gruesome before.

I don't know. I think you can have just as much fun playing a good character. Especially this good character who has a very dark side. And while I agree that she has done a great job with the transformations (the elevator scene for me is still the best), I just am uninterested in her Niki. She talks about what's happening to her in the same way that she'd describe having a hang nail. I wouldn't have a problem with the duality of the character if I actually felt that Ali Larter was expressing any conflict as Jessica. When she was banging on the mirror asking Jessica to come out and help her after DL kidnapped Micah, she might as well have been asking Jessica to come help her find her keys. I just didn't buy it. The only time that I have bought it was in her actual scene with DL in the kitchen where she was trying to explain to him what was happening to her and he pooh-poohed it and said that someone was setting her up. So maybe she just needs some more scenes with a stronger actor than Texas Tina.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Wait. Are you saying there's a connection between Ben and Glory?

Ann, that's a ferret.

No, between Ben and Jerry.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

One of my friends suspected she was the one pushing Isaac on heroin in the first place, to cultivate his power.

No, when she came to the studio to kidnap him, she asked his name, as if she was making sure that she had the right guy. She wouldn’t have had to do that if they’d had a previous relationship.

Why did I think that DL was the guy who mindwiped the Quarterback and tried to kidnap Nathan??

They’re both black.

How do they know that Isaac's new painting is going to show them where Syler is? It hasn't seemed that his power works that way up until now. He can't really control it

Either it’s the only shot they have, or they’ve figured out that they can suggest something and he’ll paint it.

Maybe the little girl is one of the first times he heard a concrete thought, and that was because she was probably mentally screaming at the top of her lungs.

Right, he can hear people when they’re projecting, and she was the only one projecting, whereas at the market, everyone was.
