Art Crawl!!!

I don't think that Helo really thought that they wouldn't know that he was the one with access to the keys to that box and the motive to do it.

I'm a little confused by the end of Torchwood 5:

OK, so the little girl wanted to go with the creatures to this magical forest place, and Jack let her go because otherwise the creatures would have caused all kinds of death and mayhem and worldwide devastation. Fine. I didn't understand his final exchange with the little girl, though. He says, "What good is that to you? There will be no more chosen ones." She says, "They'll find us back in time."

Huh? Why no more chosen ones? Who will find whom back in time?

And then Jack says, "...this is the only chance we have against them."

Are they suddenly going to stop interacting with humans now? Why?

I am so confused. I admit I got a little distracted a couple of times, so maybe I missed some exposition. Can someone help a girl out? Anyone?

We did learn a little more about Jack's history, which was nice. He's... well, he's just not the bestest all-around actor, is he? I didn't buy his torment in the final scene. I wanted to, I just... no. Ah, well. He's very pretty .

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

the bestest all-around actor, is he? I didn't buy his torment in the final scene

really? because he totally had me. the red rimmed eyes, the unshed tears.

as for the rest of your question, i have no idea and i watched the whole thing un-distracted. i'm guessing it will be something that comes up later...or maybe not. *shrug*

have y'all seen his interview with Jonathan Ross? hy-STER-ical!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I don't think that Helo really thought that they wouldn't know that he was the one with access to the keys to that box and the motive to do it.

Right, there's every reason for Adama and Roslin to suspect him because he had motive. But the fact he was able to stroll into an unguarded, unpopulated part of the ship and use his dog tags to access a panel and kill 5 people (Yeah, they were Cylons, but humans would be just as dead) in another room doesn't say a whole lot for Galactica's security. I'm not questioning the why, I'm questioning how easy it was to do. If there are still any Cylons on board Galactica (barring Athena) it'd be ridiculously easy for them to bump off rooms full of people and get away without suspicion.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But the fact he was able to stroll into an unguarded, unpopulated part of the ship and use his dog tags to access a panel and kill 5 people (Yeah, they were Cylons, but humans would be just as dead) in another room doesn't say a whole lot for Galactica's security.

Well, Helo is now the XO, right? (Moore said something about that on the podcast.) In any event, Helo has a lot of responsibility for the running of the ship, so it makes sense to me that he'd have easy access to that electrical box thingie. Plus it seemed to me that what Helo did relied on some fairly obscure knowledge of the mechanics of the ship.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, Helo is now the XO, right?

Wait, seriously? That's so weird. I guess that makes Tigh's comment make more sense. And...yeah, I guess Adama wouldn't let him be XO in his condition.

Torchwood:

really? because

Yeah, see, I thought he looked the part (my heart always breaks a litle when I see him looking sad. Poor boy), but there was something in the delivery that was just off (to me). Not at the same level as the others, and I just wasn't feeling it as genuine. Now, by the time they got out to the car, I was OK again. I should edit what I said - it's not that he's not good all-around, it's that I find him inconsistent. Except with the pretty. He's always that .

As for the rest, I'm glad it wasn't just me, then. I haven't seen the interview yet, but it's in the queue.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I was also very confused by that scene in Torchwood. Why was she the last one? Was that mentioned at all in the episode up until that point? *shrug* I did like the bits of Jack's backstory we got. I wonder how long ago, in his own timeline, Jack met Estelle? I thought his grief over her, in the scene with Gwen when he's self-medicating with alcohol, came across very well. Less so in the scene with the girl's mother after Jasmine disappears, but, ah well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Kalshane, that was my reaction exactly to the wonder drug on Smallville -- you can't come up with a way to handle a (minor) side effect? Like, for instance, giving the dying person a shot of the Wonder Drug and then a quick shot of Thorazine right after? How seriously stupid....

I also missed that Helo is now the XO. But then I haven't watched the past two episodes again yet, and I seem to have been paying a whole lot more attention to the Baltar plot. He's kind of like a cockroach, isn't he?

Art Crawl!!!

Helo was the XO on Galactica at the end of last season and hasn't lost his position.
