A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
JenP, I'm not seeing any reason given for his (and silly me, it was Aaron Douglas, not Tahmoh, who theorized this) belief that
all the other Cylons were boxed, except for his opinion that to keep revealing more of them down the line would reek of bad storytelling. Here's the [link] it's about six "page downs" where Aaron and Tahmoh are talking about who they [don't] think is a Cylon.
Maybe I just like typing Tahmoh.
*sings* Tahmoh, Tahmoh, Tahmoh from the Yukon. And now I want to see him dressed up for the Musical Ride
Huh. It never occured to me that they were being permanently broken up. I mean, they're still married, even if he's not carrying her dog tags any more.
Oh, it totally reeked of cutting the secondary character to me. I hate that classic tv trick with a passion.
Attn: Colin/CFerg! A friend of mine randomly mentioned you quite favorable today, so I thought I'd pass it along.
Funny story: I got to see an advance copy of this horrid Lifetime movie the other day starring none other than Lara Flynn Boyle. While I was happy to see she's not Skeletor anymore, she showed no emotions at all. The movie had Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the bad guy, for goodness sake. It was so bad. Even more disappointing was that it was based on a book by Anne Rivers Siddons that I read and really like.
The only saving grace was that Lara's husband was played by none other than Colin Ferguson! He was VERY Jack Carter-like in the way he played the role, he was the only one in the movie who could actually act, and he was still So Fine. It made me miss Eureka. Really, he was the only saving grace in what was otherwise a horrible 8 hours of work!
I assumed that Anders will reappear. If they just wanted to get rid of him for budgetary reasons, why wouldn't they have killed him off back on New Caprica?
Where does he fit, though, if he's not attached to Kara? He's not military (IIRC) nor is he government.
It's addressed (more or less) in the podcast, but to answer in this thread would be spoiling.
And, my love for Roslin grows. Maybe not a flawless solution, perhaps true war criminals/traitors are now allowed to walk freely, but what she diverted... *deep sigh*
I agree, I really loved that ending; although part of my love stemmed from the fact that all through the episode, I was thinking to myself, "Hm, this seems to parallel the situation in South Africa after apartheid in some ways," and then they actually went and set up the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, which is the actual same name as the actual committee that Nelson Mandela set up in South Africa to address, and begin to heal, the wounds of apartheid. I thought that was very cool.

Hm. I didn't see that scene as them breaking up, so much as them dealing with an incredibly difficult and painful situation that impacts the future of their marriage. I don't think we've seen the last of Kara/Anders yet.
I say Anders either goes, or stays attached to Kara. Wait--can he fly?
Jessica, can you spill in Spoilers or Spoilers Lite? I don't have the attention span to make it through the podcast.
Not Jessica, but I posted in Spoilage Lite.
Well, they said that six models voted and we've seen seven models. I can imagine that the six we've seen in Colonial One during the Occupation are the Ruling Cylons: Six, Three, Eight, Five, Simon and Cavil. Leaving Leoben and five others as not in charge.
I wanted to feel more worried about Gaeta but once they'd killed Jammer, I think that I just couldn't believe that they'd kill Gaeta too. (Too bad we didn't get to see JAKE.)
I'm not sure WHO THE HECK other than Gaeta they thought was leaving them all that intel. Did they just think it was a gift from the Gods?
Doctor Who: v. enjoyable. I loved seeing all the Zeppelins.
Torchwood: Whoo hoo!!! I got to see the first two episodes. So. much.fun. I hope my source doesn't dry up and I get to see more. Although I worry that I'll be spoiled for things in Who Season 2.
