She wasn't referring to The Circle. Strega was wondering about the people who still have it out for Gaeta, not knowing that he was helping the Resistance.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

BSG question, in the beginning of the ep Xena!Cylon talks about 6 votes. Aren't there supposed to be 12 models? I know we've only seen 6 or so, but I thought they referenced 12 total in S1.
I was very annoyed by Zarek, the political prisoner, legitimizing secret tribunals. 'Cause no, that wouldn't happen. And yeah, the whole damn thing felt false to me.
Yes, twelve models. Which they seem to have lost the plot with completely. Someone up-thread suggested that it was to keep the other models in sleeper mode among the humans; realistically the budget probably couldn't support 6 more recurring characters. Still, though, it's going to have to be a remarkable asspull to explain why we haven't seen the other half of the skinjobs.
(Interesting note: saw Bladerunner the other night, and they use the term skinjob for their human-lookalike robots. [I kept whispering to my friend "Cylon! Cylon! This is where it all started!"] Wonder if the current BSG lifted it from there.)
Corwood, I agree with you about Zarek. I don't think a politcal prisoner, the leader of a ship full of prisoners, would realistically sentence others to death without trial, no matter how heinous the crime. I buy that Zarek is an intelligent and often ruthless man. But since so much of his self-righteous stuff relies on the justice of the system...
Then again, I think I could buy that a man who doesn't believe the system has true justice--given his situation--could be convinced that the justice system needs to be ignored; coupled with the tradgedy and loss of New Caprica, a vengeance could spring from that. But without that being stated explicitly by the show, it's a thin cover at best. After his experiences in the prison system, how can he comdemn people to death after a secret trial? Cylon collaborators or no.
Regarding Kara, as well as the secondary character budget--can I just say that I'm really annoyed that the show broke up Anders and Kara in five seconds flat? I mean, you know it wasn't going to last because Anders was a secondary character. But *still.* If we could have had more than five minutes of screen time of them together, not just the illusion of a year, it would have been far more convincing that Kara would want to rip his face off. What the hell? I get that Kara's pain is Bigger and Worse than everyone else's. But could we get some kind of acknowledgement that he was her husband? The guy she left galactica for? I mean, really. Now they can cut the character and save a couple $$, but com the frak on.
I've been wondering if the other six Cylon models weren't down with the war in the first place. I realize that until now it was story concerns keeping them invisible, but the six votes thing seems to change the landscape.
It would amuse me to find half the Cylon race hanging out in some nebula, celebrating some grand plan to get rid of all their troublemakers by setting them on the humans.
The other six five Cylon models, as speculated by Tahmoh Peniket
have already been boxed, this is not to say that they can't be unboxed, but they've already been rounded up and turned off.
Again, this is not an official spoiler, but guesswork/theorizing from one of the actors (and I'm not arguing with Tahmoh!)
I love Gaeta.
I did enjoy the UK version of The Office, even though there were lots of cringing moments. My favorite thing was the "Office Special" that takes place three years after the series and wraps things up.
Nitpick -- we're only missing 5 Cylon models, since we've already met 7. (The vote was deadlocked 3-3, with the Sixes casting the deciding 7th vote. Though I'm kind of surprised that the Leobans apparently get to vote, considering how absent they were from any kind of governing on New Caprica.)
can I just say that I'm really annoyed that the show broke up Anders and Kara in five seconds flat?
Huh. It never occured to me that they were being permanently broken up. I mean, they're still married, even if he's not carrying her dog tags any more.
The vote was deadlocked 3-3, with the Sixes casting the deciding 7th vote.
That was how I thought it went down.
The other 5 models are available for future use if/or when needed. The cylons are probably still working out programming issues with those models. Really, if the ones we know are the best of the lot, the cylons have some lovely dysfunction going on there.
Keep jumping. Hee.
Juliebird, did he say what he thought the motivation behind boxing up the as-yet-unseen-by-us Cylons is in the framwork of the BSG universe ?
