This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Genregate.

That was fun.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So the Artifact is... Green rocks. Right?

They found them in a field in Kansas.

Plus, it's brilliantly shot and scored with some of the most awesome '70's music ever recorded.

A list of the music used in the original BBC episodes is here. I heard an interview with Philip Glenister (also on the BBC site, I think), where he mentions that they got special permission to use "Live and Let Die" in the second ep. McCartney doesn't normally license his stuff for things like that but he liked what they were doing so much, he allowed it. Was that piece used in the US version?

Glad to hear LoM is doing so well in the States. It was some of the best telly I saw in ages.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Loved the episode, but not enough Jo. Loved her painting landscapes at the sheriff's office, although I would have thought a combat scene would be more her style.

I think that's the point. But it's not like weapon nuts don't have other sides.

I wonder if there was so little Jo because of what Colin mentioned about the reordering--this ep was shot before last week's and still had Jo/Jack friction.

Art Crawl!!!

Maybe she had to go off and do BSG stuff. . . '

I liked that she paints landscapes when it's slow at work.

Huh, the BBCA LoM site has a Life on Mars playlist that you can download from itunes.

That's the way to get people to allow you to use their music!

(Although, it looks like it's one song per episode.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I tried to watch the late repeat last night, but a combo of exhaustion and the loathing I feel for Carl-like characters in general kept me from finishing.

Loved the shower caps and booties, though.
