I felt bad for poor Andy, who found and lost his birth mother on the same day.
Seriously! That was sad.
Both SV and SPN were quite good this week. I was very pleased when, right after I thought, "Dean should stay behind since Sam and Andy are immune to the mind control," Sam told Dean to stay behind,
and
Dean knew that he should stay behind. I like when characters make logical, appropriate decisions!
And I was hugely grateful for the revelation that the good twin (forgot his name) had never used his mind-control on Tracy before, and I liked that she didn't trust him afterwards. Actions having crappy consequences, even when they're the right actions for the right reasons?
Yes, that was a nice touch.
Also, you guys can have your Sam and Dean because OMG ALONA TAL IS SO HOT.
I want Sniper!Dean AU fic now. Also, Ben Edlund continues to rock my socks.
I'm not sure whether to be encouraged or disturbed that the Winchesters have determined a sniper rifle is sometimes neccessary for their line of work.
But I agree with how great it was that Dean understood he should stay behind and tried to find a way to help out that shouldn't have put himself at risk, barring evil twin being much more powerful than his brother.
I'm easily convinced Papa Winchester thought it was best to hit some beasties from a distance, especially in emergency situations where he had no choice but to hunt with two small kids with him.
I kept getting a weird Elijah Wood vibe off Andy's twin. The nose, the big blue eyes, the head-tilt, even some of the speech patterns. It gave an extra brrrr to his scenes for me.
Stone'enge! No wonder I was hallucinating leprechauns frolicking around the van. And Dean singing REO was just--
Ahem, well. Yes, I may have squeed. A bit. A bitty bit. But what I twigged to was his body posture when he heard the opening chords. It was obvious the song was going to have some affect on him. Well played, Mr. Ackles.
Damn, I turned the TV off when I realized Grey's Anatomy was a rerun. I should have watched SPN instead! Someone remind me next time, 'k?
It's true -- he was like a weirdly TALL Elijah.
