I was pleased with that too, Anne.
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
MSG?
Monosodium glutamate Mysterious Silent Guy? He had been MBG in earlier episodes.
I knew MSG had side-effects, but never considered selective amnesia as one of them....
I can't tolerate the stuff myself. I can get migraines and hives after eating it, so I wouldn't put anything past it.
(Thanks, DX, because all I was coming up with was monosodium glutamate.)
We can call him Mono for short!
"How did you find me?"
"Whois database, you really should get unlisted."
ha! (that site creeps me out)
I was so happy Ando came back, I got really sad when he left Hiro.
And Hiro's English is getting better!
It wasn't on the show; it was in his "graphic novel" on the official site.
Whew. Like Morgana, I thought I was going nuts.
I'm beginning to wonder if, as someone posited before, cheerleader's dad isn't actually evil. I mean, yeah, the guy has some questionable ethics and methods (assualt, kiddnapping, mind-wiping), but he let not!Weiss go after studying him and wiping his memories of him doing so. There seems to be more than generic evil conspiracy going on.
That was me, and I'm even less sure he's evil now. He might have spared the quarterback because it would be too overt a move at that point, but he certainly could have done almost anything to him, and he looked like he wanted to do more than just reboot him.
Somebody wondered if Niki might go over to the bad guys, but my kittens are on Nathan. His ethics seem to be only slightly less questionable than Jim Profit's.
I'm going to guess that Niki's alter ego (hereafter - Ikin) was a coping mechanism for abuse at some point, and that both of them can use the power; it's just Ikin is the only one who knows it right now. Since these powers seem to be something of a late onset phenom, I wouldn't be surprised if Ikin has been around for years, but has only recently discovered her abilities.
This week's "graphic novel", about D.L., casts next week's preview in a whole new light. It makes me wonder if Niki's alter ego was the one who commited the murder and framed D.L. for it .
Tom, I've been thinking what you just white-fonted since we first heard about D.L., especially given the son's insistence on his innocence.
Also, sorry to have missed you on your Somerville expedition.

I think Niki's alter-ego is most exploitable. I wonder if Niki's journey will entail integrating her two personalities, or if she'll be more of an Incredible Hulk sort of deal. Her comment about wanting to be good seemed important. Regardless, I do think the abuse spec is spot on.
Tom, I wondered the same thing, and haven't read any of the graphic novels, yet. Still with * Leonard playing the part, it makes me think DL is evil, whether or not he is. Darned Forrest. It would be cool if he were also a super.
I'm also sorry to have missed your Somerville visit. I'm a craptacular Somervillain. We had a 50th b.d. party for a s-i-l on Saturday night, and had the kids out until 11ish. Sunday was run around day, and also painting day.
