Dark Angel S2 gets radically better as it goes on, seriously, and not just Ackles' part, either.

My biggest letdown so far for S3 of BSG is the horrid lack of CKR. Granted, we're only a couple of eps in, but another thing that bugs is there's no multiples of him walking around.

Is this just scheduling difficulties, or is it specific to Leoben's character/model that he enjoys his individuality and doesn't actually like too many of himselves walking around, obsessing over Kara. Maybe it has something to do with his "I am god, I swim in the stream". I hope it's a story-choice, and not that CKR wasn't around that much.

If it's story-specific, then it would seem that he (Leoben) has his own agenda, and doesn't give a fig about what the rest of the Cylon do with the remainder of humanity, so long as he can play house with Kara. Perhaps even they consider him a freak and don't want his model mucking up the already mucked-up works with his new-age mumbo jumbo (Brother Cavil would probably commit fratricide on his ass a dozen times over!).

Still, whatever the reason is, it all boils down to me stomping my feet and whining "I want more Callum!"

eta DA, it gets better? Cuz I had to stop watching early on in S2 due to the crapitudiness (and just downright weirdness) and my eyes couldn't stop rolling over the whole "Eyes Only is deathly allergic to Max's dander."

I do wish we were being shown other Cylon models besides the 7 we already know. I understand the budgetary constraints on casting 5 more characters (and the additional efffects-work in showing us multiple copies of them), but it doesn't seem to make much sense that there would be 5 human models completely out of the loop on the entire New Caprica venture.

Yeah, this was an observation I had as well. Really, all 12 models should be part of this thing. I wonder if they'll make up some sort of reason why the other 5 aren't there because as of now, it's a practical decision, not a story decision.

Did you guys notice Leoben's reaction to the little bonding moment between Kara and Casey? What was that? Was he happy because he thinks his vision is starting to come true? Disturbed because she's paying more attention to the toddler than she ever paid to him - -besides killing him? What?

Also, aside from the giant continuity error with Cally and the running and the guns: Chief tells Laura and Tom that Adama is coming to get them while he's standing right in front of that truck and not really that far away from the dying Cavil. Seems like a bad idea to me.

My question for those who were not sure of enjoying David Tennant's performance as the Doctor - and to whom I said (or meant to, anyway) to give him up to "School Reunion" to prove himself - is, what do you think of him now?

My squee for the episode was about evenly divided between Sarah Jane Smith, K-9, and ASH as the headmaster. What affection I've been able to summon for Tennant is because I've heard (here, I believe) that he's a huge Who geek and actually has artifacts from shows with previous incarnations. He's manic. Okay, so was Baker, and I loved him. He feels more wobbly than Nine. And let's face it, I fell hard, deep, and repeatedly for Nine. He broke me, then put me back together, stood me on my feet, patted my fanny and said "on you go." I'd have trusted him, even if I knew he had to betray me, because it was for a bigger necessity.

I don't trust Ten. But I don't really know Ten. Ask me again at the end of the season.

And yes, I enjoyed the Barrowman Keys to the Castle thing SO very much. So, apparently, did he.

Also? SO freakin' good to see Chief's beardless face again.

I really didn't think I could love another doctor as much as CE. School Reunion broke me. Tennant doesn't do menacing nearly as well as CE but I'm all in on number ten. Must be the glasses. Or it could have been when Cassandra was in his body on New Earth.

Also, loved ASH in SR.

I honestly didn't know what to expect from Ten, but SR definately got my buy in. It was such an earth-bound story, but it touched on everything in the universe that was important to The Doctor: his dead homeworld, his honor, his companions and the joy and pain that they bring to him. Many of his incarnations have been manic. Few have been so transparent and warm. I hope this one is in it for a good long time.

I'd really liked Tennant in his initial "The Christmas Invasion" appearance, then felt let down by the tics and buffoonery of the next two episodes. The story with Sarah Jane forced the actor to employ some much-needed restraint and subtlety, and just about everything struck me as note perfect.
