And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

How can the artist guy do 32+ pages of comics a month, paint all of those paintings, and still find the time to get high?

I don't know, but it would explain Alan Moore.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, it seems that getting high is what allows him to paint all those paintings, so that's an efficient use of his time. Maybe he does it all in his sleep, too.

I wonder why he draws what he draws. I mean, is the scene of Peter and Simone kissing really that important? The random tableau of Claire and the nerdboy? I like the visual transition because it's fun, but it's not like it was a pivotal moment in history. Surely, he could have painted something more important than that.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I mean, is the scene of Peter and Simone kissing really that important?

I thought it was important to him. It read to me like he has feelings for Simone, but here she is kissing someone else.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Speaking of the comics, is anyone else reading the mini-comics at the official site. [link] The one about Hiro is pretty good.

Hiro also has a blog [link] in which he asks a question somebody here asked last week:

The comic book retold everything I did yesterday. (?-?) I found the author's address on the back of the comic book and decided to go meet him. Do all American comic books put the address of their author's on the back? If so, I need to buy an X-Men so I can meet Stan Lee or Tim Sale.

Okay, I'll buy that, but the random Claire/nerdboy scene seemed like it was just there for the nifty transition.

Okay, wow, I open up the first one, and the first thing I see is NISSAN VERSA. Like...whee, product placement? But ooh, Kali. I'll have to read these later.

I've become Chrono in Chrono Trigger or Trunks in Dragon Ball. I've become the hero in my own RPG. Except that this isn't a game. This is real. There is no saved game or cheat codes. I get no Phoenix Downs.

HA HA HA HA. Oh, Hiro's blog. It does make him even more into a stereotypical geek character, but it's too amusing that they're not just using the typical geek references. I mean, Phoenix Downs? That's hardcore.

I missed that one. I didn't get home till 8:40, so I missed most of the episode. I'll try catching it online later.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

is anyone else reading the mini-comics at the official site.

They're not "mini-comics", they're (6-page) "graphics novels".

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think that makes them more "graphic short stories."
