Can I just say, as a Doctor Who fan, that I love how few shippers in that fandom are accepting the icky-stupid portmanteau names for ships?

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Well...what would you call it? Roctor? Rine? Ren?
Drose. Docose.
Roctor?
I thought that they said that Daniel was in the UK going over a collection of artifacts or something.
I have seen "Drose" twice. The LJ comm where that appeared rose up as one voice and said, "Please don't use that, it hurts our brains." And for the most part they go for typing it out: Doctor/Rose or get specific with it as 9th/Rose or Ten/Rose.
Oh, brother. I was only kidding with that. Blech.
Blech.
Exactly, which was why I really liked the "Please don't do that" response.

Yeah, but mostly I was wondering why. I mean, the team's bonding! There didn't seem to be a plot-driven reason for it, but pregnant and birthing wife certainly can explain stuff.
I know nothing about anything but his wife gave birth and she's not coming back at all this season (I hear) and he's an a reduced episode count this year (because of the birth).
Again, I know nothing about anything.
