'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Yeah, as far as production order, "Blink" got buried because we owed some scenes at the tail of that episode tht didn't get shot until close to the end of the shoot - July.

But a lot of the middle episodes are virtually stand alone - (as long as they're somewhere in the middle) - so I think they went with whatever started to cut together faster.

We will, however, get caught up over the next bunch of weeks and then at least the last four or five, I'm told, will air in the right order.

I'm concerned though how Jo will play in "Blink" because she is still really pissed off at me through that episode. It's pre-paranoia bonding. Maybe they'll cut it out.

Above had to do with something someone said...

Tennant looks like Dave Foley on his IMDB page.

That was me, Colin. I had forgotten about an earlier mention somewhere about an order switch-up.

And I guess Blade's sword is silver in the series (which doesn't make a lot of sense, considering how crappy a sword blade made of silver would actually be) seeing as he got ran through with some discomfort but the other guy went poof.

yes. I think that all of his weapons (stakes and bullets) are silver. He doesn't seem to use wood.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I know the stakes were silver. In the movies, the sword was some sort of titanium alloy, which meant it didn't actually kill vampires unless he decapitated them with it. In the series, apparently it's made out of silver, which allows him to straight out kill them with it, but realistically would break and/or get dulled from use really, really easily. Silver is too soft a metal for effective use in bladed weaponry. (The stakes are fine because they're thick, short and are pretty much used for stab once and move on work.)

(Yes, I realize I'm being nitpicky about an action show about vampires.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Have you met us? We're the Buffistas. We nitpick things that other mortals aren't even aware exist.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Huh. Never would have guessed that Colin is actually younger than David Tennant.

Ack, I'm so not mentally prepared to be older than the guy who plays a 900 year old Time Lord (I was coping with that, Tennant's got all kinds more wrinkles than I do) AND the man who plays the authoritative, normal-guy surrounded by wacky geniouses, sheriff. Seriously, authority figures are supposed to be older than me.

Well, shut my mouth. They're trying to make a Team. Er, except, without Daniel. Well, anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed that episode. A little forced at times, but all in all, fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the man who plays the authoritative, normal-guy surrounded by wacky geniouses, sheriff

No! Colin's a wee baby! Stop that.

OK, so based on the promo commercials for next week's SG1, does it kinda look like RDA's had a stroke? Or is that just his age catching up with him? (I thought he looked odd in that Mastercard commercial...)

Also, is it possible that Ronon could play with that gun a little more? Because I think there's a few centimeters of my knees that are still solid.... wibble
