My Tivo, despite having a Season Pass for SPN, and despite having nothing conflicting with it, did not tape SPN.
'Suela, I think the channel change confused the machine. (I'm not kidding. This happened to someone else.)

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I've heard the same thing about other shows.
I like this ep of SPN, even though I didn't get to see all of last season. Even though there are gaps in my knowledge, I still thought the family stuff was a good payoff.
Sad about Daddy Winchester, but maybe now Jeffrey Dean Morgan can get his own show.
I loved loved loved tonight's Supernatural. Though every time anyone mentions the word "Reaper," my brain goes off on weird tangents and I have to rein it back in.
This is why I like to watch TV alone. It's safest for everyone.
But next week? CLOWNS? Are you kidding me? I already have issues. Now, I'm not going to sleep for the month of October .
Um, am I the only one who thinks killing off Dad Winchester is a great heaping pile of mistake? Because all the really interesting character stuff on this show has been from the emotional triangle between the characters. Ack.
I'm worried about it, too, Theo, although I'm hopeful that with starting the new plotline about "the other children", they'll be able to fill that gap. As long as we don't get Spiffy New (female) Team Member.
I will definitely miss him, though.

Yes and no. Because, on the one hand, it's not gonna be three guys in the car throughout the season, and they needed a reason to get John out of the way at least temporarily. On the other hand, once a person is dead, the argument you have with him become kind of one-sided and repetitive. On the third hand, instant angst! On the fourth hand, they don't have any other tools that can drive the storyline nearly as effectively.
(My thought was, he was going to be fuuuuuucked up from the car crash, and stuck in a hospital for 6 months. Which, isn't nearly as dramatic or final as the dirt nap, but performs the same narrative function, at least in the short term.)
I suppose since he was killed in a supernatural sort of way, there's always the possibility of reviving him, or having Evil!Dead!Possessed!John as a character for a while. Or Ghost Dad, anyway.
Loved the ouija scene.
Would really like to see that Reaper again. Dean could really use a girlfriend....
I know that they killed off Daddy Winchester. . . but part of me thinks that we may see him again.
Anyway, his show with Shonda Rhimes has been postponed. At least he's doing film stuff.
I loved the ouija board stuff too. I loved that fight between Sam and Daddy Winchester with ghostly!Dean in the middle -- I'm sure that it echoed the big fight that Sam and his dad had when he went off to college.
Was Ben Edlund an Executive Producer no SPN last year? Because I was a bit surprised to see his name. (So, I'm thinking -- no. . . but I'm also capable of incredible feats of unobserviness.)
