Now tagless for your comfort.

they really could have upped the stakes by having appropriate reactions from everyone, but what followed basically told me not to worry, he was an expendable character who nobody cares about and wasn't actually a character in the universe of Eureka (and it kinda irked that they made sure that he was annoying enough for us to not care if he died. Chickens.)

The one flaw in an otherwise great episode has been pointed out. In a town as small as Eureka, why didn't they know his name? Ima go back to the good parts.

I loved Tag's hate/admiration for the NIMH mice from GD.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Before tonight, I really liked Eureka. Now, I am absolutely, totally in love with this show. Damn good episode.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

loved the whole "Jo will save us" "She's not here" "We could blow [Sarah] up." "She's not here."

and Stark cuts Carter off from the beer, hee!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Eureka's another one of those shows you don't catch everything the first time around. I'm going to have to start taping, ahemming takes too long.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

the reason that I love this show so much, and why when it drops the ball here and there it really bugs.

Eh. First season syndrome, my fingers are crossed for next!

I was just thinking, in the end, the thing that sent Carter into a sulk in the first place is still there, isn't it? He can't do his job a lot of the time because he keeps coming up against S5, either their free-pass or just that he doesn't have enough information to come to the right conclusion about what's actually going on.

love the revealed relationship between Henry and Stark, mentor and star pupil
ditto.

The Jo and Taggart thing was great. I loved the crazy look they put on Taggart with the red paintball paint all over his face.

Stark's "Oh crap." was PERFECT.
ditto.

I think that the pairing of Allison & Carter together was a bit heavy handed (as usual). I'd been hoping for a bit of a Beverly/Carter/Allison triangle, just to complicate things some, but that really doesn't appear to be in the cards.

Putting Fargo in with Beverly was great b/c you know that Fargo must've dreamt about a situation like this before.

There had better be a second season. I'm enjoying this show way too much.

And hey, isn't "oh crap" Carter's line? heh.

Speaking of Carter and Bev,

let's do the time warp

I never understood what the heck happened in the pilot, where one minute she's kissing him and the next he's waking up. All I can think is that he fell asleep on her like she said, which I don't buy with the way the scene ended, or that something nefarious happened that we've yet to see pay off. Was it just a bad edit? Am I glacial?

Every time I hear Carter say "oh crap" it reminds me of Darien Fawkes from "The Invisible Man." (Though it is slightly different.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I've always assumed she drugged him. That's why I wasn't at all surprised when she poisoned Susan #2.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

My local PBS outlet was just showing Jeeves and Wooster. Seeing Hugh Laurie playing a twit after seeing him in House week after week--whoa.
