A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

About Alison's son - has any further mention been made of the fact that, even though she told Jack, "My son is autistic. He doesn't talk," the boy did indeed talk to Jack, about Archimedes? Either he's not really autistic and has some other problem/gift (?), or Jack is Special, or we're just dropping that interesting tidbit entirely.

I suspect it's the latter. Too bad.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The series' climactic scene will find the fleet being blown to bits by America's president.

I've read a story with that premise. It's really good.

I was thinking earlier that the final season should be the Colonial survivors living on Earth as refugees, who are not wanted by most Earthies, trying to get the governments of Earth to assist them in the humanitarian mission of rescuing those humans still imprisoned by the Cylons - and failing to get that assistance.

Kind of like Alien Nation?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, they have mentioned that he's doing better on the placebo, and that's probably based on how Allison's treating him differently. They seem easily relatable.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Kind of like Alien Nation?

But with human aliens.

Indeed. Because Jack treated him "differently" - that is, like a normal kid, because he didn't know he wasn't.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Kind of like Alien Nation?

Yeah, but where the "humans" hate the "aliens" even more.

"It's their own fucking fault they made the Cylons and then got attacked. Now they're gonna lead the Cylons here!"

Thrive to spite them

Wasn't the plot of Battlestar Galatica: 198? (I can't remember the year) about how BSG made it to Earth only to find that it's not advanced. And also they could jump really high and stuff from being exposed to a different atmopshere, but spoke perfect current English and everyone understood each other.

I was wondering if anyone had written a decent BSG/SG1 story. Maybe it would work better if it was before SG1 found out about Atlantis. I'd be especially interested in the Cylons reaction to other races who are more powerful. I'd want to see Baltar meeting Thor maybe and seeing Six's reaction.

Yeah, that was Galactica 1980. Even fans of TOS think it's crap. But I liked the episode where someone went back in time to help the Nazis with their technology (because the episode was so bad).

They're definately not dropping Allison's autistic son. Just for the record. There's more but I gotta go again. Very busy. Very sick.

Get better soon, Colin!

Rumor has it that the UK will be getting the final run of SG-1 episodes starting in November or December. Which is 4-5 months before they're due to air in the US. Whatever shall we do.... ahem.
