I suppose it's a little simpler now that movies and TV are so common. People have a larger supply of images in their memories than when words alone were the story-telling medium.
"Ok, a bunch of Scotsmen in kilts--"
"What's a kilt?"
having
Braveheart
in people's memories makes that question much less likely to come up.
I am SO sorry that I keep posting the drabble topics late! Bad Teppy!
In any case, Challenge #43 (two people; one sitting, one standing) is now closed.
Challenge #44 is something that Robin suggested -- opposites. No quoting that Paula Abdul song, though!
Aaaaaand hopelessly earwormed. Damn you, wee Teppy!
Who'da thought / we could be lovers?
she makes the bed / and he steals the covers....
I'm safe...an earworm I don't know.
And now I'm also eyewormed with that stupid video with the Cheetoos Cheetah.
I'm safe...an earworm I don't know.
You never saw the video? Paula sang with Arsenio Hall, and there was some cartoon cat, too.
When I saw that video I couldn't help thinking, "Babe, that's not a case of opposites attracting, that's bestiality. Seek help."
Me too, Kristin--with a side of, "Am I supposed to recognize this cat from something?"
Yeah! I saw that, but I guess I'm thankful not to remember the song itself...the downside of being such a mimic is that I pick up every earworm, ever.
