I've been completely transported by the setting. Wants to go to England now for a spell, Lilty does.

A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.

FFoSM is at number 36 on Amazon's horro and ghost story best seller list. They only list the top forty; it was nowhere in sight a couple of days ago.
WoooHoooo! That's fandamntastic news! Congratulations!
All right! I'd buy more copies, but the last person I have to buy books for only likes paperbacks.
I'm buying it, but my plan was to go to Borders today and order it. Should I get it off Amazon to bump you up on the list?
Lilty, no - DEFINITELY ask Borders to order it. That's the best thing: get it on bookstore shelves.
Got it. I'll order both, then when Weaver comes in, say I got it for a present so's they put it on the shelf, too.
(loving Lilty muchly)
Hee! I'm sneaky. And, I'm off!
Deb, that's awesome! Damn!
In mememe news, I finally submitted my article to Newsweek only to find that it needs to be between 800-900 words and included as the actual text of the email, not an attachment.
It would be nice if they listed that fact with the rest of the gdmd submission infomation in the actual magazine rather than forcing me to submit and get an auto-reply explaining it.
There's no way I'm cutting 500 words out of that essay at this point. I think I'll submit it to English Journal (much more targeted audience with a perfect column called "Snapshots" about moments in teaching) that allows up to 1500 words. Of course...this means some more minor revisions. Still, at least I have a more appropriate target.
I think I'll start working on a shorter piece to submit to "My Turn" still; I can't help thinking that kind of national exposure would do wonders to help me pitch my nonfiction book idea (personal essays about teaching).
