Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Something like this, I wager.

Here's one, Susan. [link]

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

For the holiday hell drabbles:

“Excuse me, miss?”

I turn around to see an averagely-sheepish guy in his late twenties.

“Do you need help finding something, sir?”

“I’m trying to decide if this would fit my girlfriend, and you’re about her size. Could you try this on and show me?”

I stare at the wisp of red nylon he’s holding in front of him. He at least has the smarts to look flustered.

“I think you should leave now, sir. Perhaps you should consider shopping somewhere else for the rest of your life.”

I flee to the safety of the stockroom, and refuse to come out until right before closing.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

(giggling at Jilli)

HOLLI! Writing! WIll curl up when I get home tonight - I want to read yours, damn it, and this week is devouring me and it isn't even bothering with my beneath bits, it's just showing down on the whole package.

Opinion question, before I run out and catch a train: four members of my writers of group are coming over tomorrow night. I'm feeding them a nice North African dinner, with bubbly; one member's in Germany, one is moving to Boston, two are pregnant. What do I get people as small, inexpensive, not too much required to get it prezzies?

brillig

There's an add for Visa (I think) gift cards where a goth chick is sent with a gift certificate to a terribly sedate place that specializes in pastel ladies suits. The ensuing trying on of things is painful, as the cheerful sales ladies try to cope and the girl is just going "I am so in a foreign land."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I want that girl's hair. In fact, I was just wondering where I could find screencaps of that girl to take to my guy. Heh.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

It's that time of year again. DH got me the 2005 Writer's Market for Christmas, so I'm looking to give away my 2004 edition. (I know I don't really need a new one each year, but somehow I never can resist.) It's in good condition, with nothing but a few asterisks and question marks next to markets I was considering. First person to email me asking for it gets it, though I probably won't mail it until I'm back from Oklahoma 12/30.
