Crutches: Kind of mass produced, yeah? Because I'm thinking so..
ARe you wondering how easy it is to get your hands on them? Our local thrift store has oodles.
I got mine at the pharmacy.
The crutches I've had have been mass produced. I rented them from a pharmacy once and then I bought some from the orthopedic surgeon after one of the knee surgeries. I keep them in the coat closet under the theory that the minute I get rid of them, I'll have to be on crutches again.
Not all crutches are wooden now, either. There are aluminum ones, which are definitely mass produced.
The aluminium ones are lighter, too. I've never been able to use crutches - I suck at balancing with them, so I demanded and got a chair, and then a cane - but I remember hefting an aluminium one in one hand and a wooden one in the other, and going, whoa.....
I haven't even seen wooden crutches in years. Though I think there was a pair at the thrift store. They looked pretty wobbly.
I'm thinking, if they were used as, well, a blunt instrument, could you tell they were the vic's? Probably not. They're probably gonna have to find it with blood on itand stuff. Nobody's ever gonna ask me what I'm thinking ever again, are they?

They come in sizes and they're adjustable, so if the crutch was set up for a person of a different height, it would be obvious. Also, aluminum crutches, which is all I've ever used, are pretty light to be a blunt instrument. Would a cane work in your scenario?
