You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Monday? New challenge?

edit: wait a minute. Is it Monday or Sunday?

I am happy.

I finished Gravekeeper. I've got half the beta-reads back and they're stellar.

And - more happy-making than that, even - I just typed the opening paragraph of Cruel Sister.

I'm QUEEN OF THE WORLD.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Yay, Deb!!

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I'm QUEEN OF THE WORLD.

Damn straight. Congratulations!

Yay me is right.

Scene setting: January or thereabouts, 1948, the Isle of Dogs. Killer coalfire-infested smog - what used to be called a London Fog or London particular, and the reason the city used to be called the Smoke - pitch dark at three in the afternoon, impossible to breathe.

London's Royal Engineers BDU company 33 working on a patch of empty land, having found a 50kilo German bomb about four feet down.

We're about to see a ghost, and make one, too.

OK. Breathing and showering and going out and coming home and doing some editing for Susan and then, here's hoping, finishing the prologue (which is about half-done, about 700 words right now) and then asking for betas for the BRAND NEW BOOK.
