Seriously, though, how about some time when you felt especially smart about something? When you did something really clever that may have surprised even yourself? (I just looked at my new optical mouse and remembered how long it took for me to figure out why it wasn't working, but figure it out I did.)
The Great Write Way
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Oo! I vote Connie's idea.
Not here. Going to bed now.
How about, to vague it up, discovery? Or maybe enlightenment?
A time when the Great Big Light Bulb went off over your head? I want it to be something positive, not some moment when you realize you'd been dumb up till then but an authentic moment of unadulterated accomplishment. Everyone's bound to have one, even if they have to think about it.
Connection?
That covers Connie's theme, and links it, possibly, to a thousand things. I'm thinking of the E.M. Forster version: "Only connect! Only connect!"
As in, the puzzle, the light bulb going off.
Connections could be good.(Should I put a kumquat in or not?) Deb, insent.
Deb and erika, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Thank you for your comments. I'm hoping to take another look at the piece later this afternoon.
Deb? Do you have something for me to beta?
"Only connect! Only connect!"
Been keeping this in mind--the idea, not the actual quote--as I delve deeper into the edits on "Nihilist Chic." Beginning to see deeper connections as I go, things I'm amazed I didn't see the first time.
I have forty pages left to make notes on. I have more than 200 notes already....
The ani-Munch snickered at "kumquat"...He really needs some more stuff to do.
