Wow, Deb, that is quite an accomplishment for one day. Go you!
The Great Write Way
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
I'm impressed...one thousand makes me e-mail people to tell them what I did.
I don't usually do that much in a sitting; I don't set minimums (telling myself that I have to write a minimum of X number of words will generally produce crap), but I've found that the exorcism scenes in each book have basically demanded a deep breath at the beginning and then whammo, all the way through.
Well, that makes sense in a weird way. The most I can do is say I'm gonna sit at the desk for an hour. I usually write something. I miss fic, though. But I need to not for a little while longer.
I don't recommend being as unstructured as I am to anyone, but it does work for me.
And if a scene is intense enough to warrant that kind of flow? I go with it.
Oh, hell, I can't take it.
Are any of my angelic beta readers around? Anyone? I need to know if this exorcism scene works.
t pokes head into thread
Hi all. Sorry to just jump right in here and ask for help, but I'm working on an essay and am totally stuck. I'm really not pleased with it and could use someone to take a look at it and share their thoughts. Anyone willing?
I'm here, Deb, vw.
VW, send - I'm heading out but can look at it tonight, and will.
erika, I'll send you chapter 12 (the lead-in to the exorcism) and the beginning of Chapter 13 (the exorcism).
I just need to know if it works, and if not, why.
OK. Great. I've never betaed an exorcism before...
