Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Way back in April or May of last year, I submitted a little devotional meditation to one of the Christian magazines that publishes such things. In July, I got a postcard saying they were holding it for further consideration. Today, I got a letter saying they'd accepted it.

They pay on publication.

It's scheduled to run in the March/April 2005 issue.

I guess that'll be a first birthday present for the Player....

If I only had a brain...

I started to say hot DAMN, but decided that was inappropriate in context.

How wonderful, Susan! HOoray!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I'll say it - hot DAMN!

Susan, you can start a trust fund with it. Baby steps!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm taking it as a sign I really need to submit some more queries, because I actually have a decent acceptance rate thus far. Just not a good route for immediate return on time invested!

It'd be a very wee trust fund, believe me.....

The status is NOT quo.

Yay Susan!

Teppy - I didn't get a chance to read the article -- can I still see it?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Kristin, you bet -- except I'm a dork who left it on her work computer. I can show it to you on Monday -- just remind me.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Teppy, me too, please? I promise to eat it after I read it! Or maybe just delete it? Okay, stopping now. Really.

Susan, congratulations! Those unexpected held-forever acceptances are rather wonderful.
