Deb : Can i read ,too? It sounds very interesting ...
The Great Write Way
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Kessie, have you visited Fic yet? And I ask that not only out of my own attention-seeking(much) but because I noticed y'all write Buffy and Angel, and um, that's where we talk about that kind of writing. And I'm big with the self-pimping too. But you'll probably like my stuff better if you've watched Homicide...which I'm not sure if it got where you are.
Deb, I can't imagine a different ending. Really, that just doesn't seem right. I'm not firing on all cylinders today, so I can't seem to find the words I want, but the ending was right.
God, I'm sorry...did you want my opinion, like, yesterday? In that case, best go read.
Erika: yup i know there are also Buffy and Angel scripts up there ... thats the old stuff i meant ... but i´m currently writing on Colors , which is a TV Series and friend and me invented and on a sci fi book which still has no name... there are only summaries up on that site so far . but they are posted in my lj ... anyway sure i´ll come over, too ! Cause i still have a story for an Angel script in my head *g*
Oh and be warned to take the writers scripts not serious ... just in case anyone should do that !
Hey, I want to write for TV someday, too. So far, Joss' job is safe. But I'm a freak as Buffistas go, cause I love the crime drama muchly...a nice whacking and I'm a happy woman. Or a detective sitting in a bar worried about the one that got away. Deb, forget my dumb question...didn't realize was a whole ms. Babe, I'm fast, not that fast. And maybe you'd like me to linger over it anyway...no wham-bam-thank-you-maam here.
yeah its just a dream to write for TV someday .. but it´ll probably remain a dream since i´m in germany and here they dont film fantasy or sci fi stuff like i mostly write .. theres only crime and lots lots bad reality shows.. and no chance to get in. Well anyway my friend a me will probably give it a try and send something to an US agent but i dont have high hopes.
Btw i heared the title homicide somewhere but i cant really place it! Maybe i know it .. have to research!
Actually, the full title is Homicide:Life on the Streets, but my passion is sad since I fell in love with it after it was cancelled and on disc...I've written quite a few crossovers with it and ME, though.
Deb (no, I'm not really here), the person is cracked, is what. I certainly didn't feel let down at the end of Still Life. I mean, relief, sure, that's why you've (reader) been holding your breath, yeah? And, resolution, yay! But, s/he (I forget gender) was obviously off in otherexpectation land and Just.Didn't.Get.it.
Is there anywhere else you or Jen thinks would be good to send it? It really needs to be in print.
Oops. Line for the computer. Gotta run. Miss my buffistas!
Bev, when you cruise by again, bebe - it's on its way to three other houses: Warner, Berkeley, and Pocket. If they're no-go? Tor and one I suggested, which is Mira, and also possibly Roc.
Although good buddy (and sister client of Jenn's) Laura Ann Gilman is no longer senior editor at Roc. Damnit. Although maybe for the best; what if she hated it?
Kessie, I'm a little hesitant about sending you an unpublished MS cold like that. erika, Deena, Nilly, Anne and Bev are five of my beta readers - they check all my stuff before it goes out, and tell me what doesn't work, and I genuinely couldn't survive as a writer efficiently without them. Once I get further down the road on a deal for this one, I'll be happy to send.
