Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

I just read it again.

Really must publish. Wish I had a magazine.

Always Anti-fascist!

I was thinking Mouth when I wrote it, Tep. But hey, people's response has been so enthusiastic, I'll get nuts and try to make a few dollars, while I'm at it Because Mouth is like crime, it doesn't pay. I would still be honored to be in it, though, as kind of a cred thing. But I've got a credit thing that it'd be nice to work on, too. But they are most definitely on this list.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

erika, it really, really needs to be out there, being read.

And I think some money in your bank account for it would be a damned good thing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

erika, that must be published.

Always Anti-fascist!

If I'm gonna be a pro, I can't always give it away. And, if legend holds true, I suppose I can't kiss my editors. But, like the Munchkin in a singles bar, this time I expect to be rejected a few times. At least.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I sent off a query, by snail mail, not email, last Saturday to a magazine. TODAY I got a letter rejecting it. Believe it or not, I'm not bothered by the rejection itself, because Rejection Happens. But the sheer speed of it is a little dismaying, somehow.

Susan, the speed sounds to me rather more as if they aren't taking stuff at the moment, period.

Always Anti-fascist!

This is how ill I am. I think I should be writing, but I did one paragraph that sucks out loud so I'm thinking I'll like never touch my word processor again. But at the exact same minute, I'm paging through a paperback thinking "Dude, I could take her." Cause it's one of those women who is thinking she's deep and fucked up, when really, that's life, huh? I know more fucked-up stuff than she does. And I think I'm funnier, too. Sigh. Is there a program for people like me?
