Weaver's definitely getting read; I've been amusing myself (OK, not so much amusing myself as obsessively checking, and screaming at the individual catalog system when it won't let me in) by looking up all the public libraries in America, and tracking Weaver.
Greg said his mystery buying boss didn't listen to him as well as he'd hoped and only bought one copy for the library system. It wasn't really intentional, she just sometimes gets a little scattered. The main library got it (where he also works) rather than the branch she and he work at together; but he's talked to her about how popular it is, and she's supposed to be buying some more for their branch. He told her that I've read ahead and it's going to be a very popular series.
Cleveland Heights/University Heights, actually, a suburb. I know Cleveland Public has it, because a number of his patrons have gotten it through interlibrary loan from them. He just wants them on HIS shelves.
on edit: I didn't realize the Cleveland inter-connected system had 28 copies, only one of which is his library, though. It looks like they have more on order too. That's pretty nice.
And more than half of them are checked out, Deb!
It's definitely getting read. Having discovered Berekely's library listing online project, I can go in state by state and check at the local level. Wisconsin was the big surprise: 61 copies in public libraries there.
This is probably the best place to ask - deb, did you get an e-mail I sent you last week, I don't remember exactly when, regarding the parts of Matty that you sent me? I didn't get any response from you, and I have no idea if that means my e-mail didn't find you, or that it did and your response didn't find me, or anything else in between.
Nilly, the new stuff? Because I don't have any unanswered emails from you in my e-box, so I'm wondering if a response of mine went astray, or if one from you didn't make it back to me. Can you resend?
deb, insent.
And wonderful news (from Beep Me).
