Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

The Great Write Way

A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Anne, Am-Chau, I'm so excited that you're doing it too. I looked and decided I didn't really want to do it with a bunch of strangers, and now all these wonderful buffista writers are doing it.

Deena, I have a special filter in my lj to post my word counts and keep track of and encourage other people who're doing it. Want me to add you? (Anne, and anyone else, the same to you if you have ljs. Let me know your lj names.) (edit: and if you don't have an lj and you want one, e-mail me and I'll send you a code. I have several spare at the moment.)

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I love the concept of nanowrimo. Funny storylet, is that one of our writers group, Melissa, pinged a group email asking if anyone else was doing it, and I said shit, I can't, I'm in the middle of two novels already. So I'm a-pass-a-deena on it. And was promptly laughed it. I'm in a period of hyperextended creativity and diggin' it.

BTW, no idea when Ruth and Jenn are going to get on the phone and hammer out the series deal, so I can't ask for specific timing vibes. Just general would be great....

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

General vibes are always there for you, Deb. And as soon as you know when you'll need the specific ones, just ask.

WRT nanowrimo, found out yesterday that my best local meatspace friend is doing it too -- it was one of those "oh god, this might sound silly to you, but I'm doing this thing" conversations.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'd be signing up, but I'm struggling to finish up my Due South Body Swap story. Maybe if I get the first draft done by 11/1?

If I only had a brain...

NaNoWriMo is me.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Am Chau, my lj pseud is sophiap. I'd love to be added to your filter. Right now, I'm trying to let my brain pick out a couple of interesting ideas to try for NaNoWriMo.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Everyone's doing NaNoWriMo!

And I have a concept for a novel and 2000 words written.

But but but I'm away for 9 days during November. And then there's the holidays, and my houseguest...

I dunno, seems unlikely.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

No NaNoWriMo here. Like deb, too busy with ongoing projects. Also, I don't think I could complete a plot in 50,000 words to save my life.
