*squeals!*

I just got an email from the Juice editors asking me to read at a launch party in the McNally Robinson (think large bookseller a la Chapters or Barnes and Noble). I'm completely overwhelmed since this is the first time this small university type journal has been offered this type of publicity (we usually just have the smallish launch at the university)... I think I might explode! Anyway, if any of you would (please?) like to help me choose which piece to read from the journal that would be amazing... My journal pieces are "Unwritten" and "Lucid Journal."

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Brynn, I'd say "Lucid". There's a fast-moving heartbeat in there, and a backbeat, as well.

Brynn, congratulations! Unfortunatly for some reason my computer will not allow me to view the current issue so I cannot give you an opinion on which piece to choose. Best of luck.

Thank you. I was leaning towards that one as well. I think it's a little more cryptic then Unwritten, but what the hey, it's a bookish audience right? For the new piece, I was leaning toward reading the haikus again... Although is it a faux-pas to read something(non-published) more than once?

It's in Adobe Acrobat form... Do you have it on your computer? Even if you do, it could be that the site -relatively new in that it was totally revamped- has still got some kinks to work out. Thank you for trying though.

Brynn, I agree with Deb. Unwritten is good, but it doesn't have quite the air of mystery that Lucid has. It's got layers. Beat's a nice way to put it.

Insent with the story you e-mailed me yesterday. I'm sorry I didn't get it to you sooner.
