Morning! I have to go feed cats who are not my own. But I bet I rack up great Friend Points in doing so, and it does get me dressed and Out of the House.
Natter 46: The FIGHTIN' 46
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have just spent three hours in the university library, which is being reorganised. Oh Lord, but the difficulties.
Oh! I almost forgot.
A couple days ago I passed a car on the way home that had PRVAT as part of its license plate. I like to try and work out what custom plates mean, but without the license plate holder ("Port Royal Privateers") I'd never have worked it out.
It was a convertible, and I noticed as I passed him that he was wearing a bandanna with skulls on it and skull dangly earrings. Paired with his greying beard it was a cool look. Especially for the day in question.
I got up at 6:45 to get over to the rink and practice this morning. I was told there was a Saturday practice time for figure skaters from 6-9. Guess what--no one there. Bleagh. I couldn't practice on Thursday, as I was stuck late at work every day this week. I want to skate, durnitall. Now I'm going to have to spend the time before I go to pilates class in cleaning or something yucky like that.
Oh, Kristin, I wouldn't worry about complaining about headaches while I'm around. Pain is pain.
Sadly (I think) paralysis hasn't really set in.
I'm reading through TWOP's thread on the pilot for Six Degrees and one of the posts mentions that it is Carlos' co-worker who ordered a martini at the bar at the end. If that was Sarah Vowell - -then perhaps we'll see more of her.
I discovered a Mexican restaurant that makes Margaritas with so much Tequilla that I was pretty pissed after half of one, and, while I'm a relative lightweight, I've never encountered a drink I couldn't finish one of before.
Also, they (and the food) were yummy.
Today, I write. I write lots. And finish at least 1 paper.
The Walmart here had exactly 1 set of math flashcards. That one set was subtraction, and fairly badly set-up. I need flashcards, dammit. And a plastic 10-gallon aquarium.
And a pony.
In fact, ponies (or other items or intangibles of equal or lesser happiness-making or value) for everyone!
I think my body went into shock because of the huge amount of sleep I got last night.
Oh well.
I made the mistake of stretching my neck as I rolled over this morning, and I heard an ominous snap, immediately followed by shooting pain. No botox needed! I froze my neck all by myself!
Only I could injure myself by rolling over in bed.
Didn't need to be said twice.
