I think my building counts as a high-rise, so I can hide in the closet instead of the basement.
Anyway, it's all quiet at the moment.

I'm still at work and the clouds are clearing up downtown. The last bits of sun for the evening are poking through.
So, I'm watching Criminal Minds from whenever, and it's weird, after watching Dead Like Me all summer, to see Mandy Patinkin talking about Rules and the following thereof.
In my head we are like long lost cousins now.
Having met you both I can vouch that you have extremely compatible...uh, energy. t /woo woo
OMG, St. Ignatius is playing Sacred Heart Cathedral in prep football across the street at Kezar Stadium and it sounds like the Christians have been thrown to the lions.
Oy. Glad there were no actual tornados. One of our sys admins called in to ask how things were going on at our corporate office. I told him I had no clue, since I wasn't there, but considering I was still RDPed into a PC down there and accessing several servers, it was a pretty safe bet the building was still in one piece.
ION, straw, camel, broken back, get me the fuck out of this place. I got my paycheck today. They dropped my payrate to the exact amount needed to where working 45 hours a week, with overtime, equals what I was getting paid weekly in salary for 40 hours of work. I called my boss to express my outrage and he informed me the CIO has stated he feels 45 hours of work is standard for IT.
I am pissed beyond all reason.
1) I missed GA, can someone get me a tape.
2) was CM premiere tonight?!?!?!?!
3) even though I am not supposed to........I bought mac some clothes.

He can feel anything he likes, but unless you're classified exempt, the Federal government says differently.

I'm technically getting paid overtime. They just futzed with the numbers so that despite me working 45 hours a week, five of them considered overtime, I get paid exactly the same as I was getting as a 40-hour a week salary employee.
ETA: To clarify, my hourly pay rate got dropped almost $3 an hour. So I work more hours, on a shittier shift, for the same amount of pay I was making before they switched me to hourly.
