For long roadtrips, I like to play the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack. It makes the trip seem like an epic journey, battling semi-awake semi drivers and loons in flashy cars. For in-town driving, it's usually Battle Without Honor or Humanity, followed by Who Are You. Seems appropriate.
