I read Olberman's outrage about Bush's words on unacceptable thought. He will rightly find supporters among people who care.
But I'm thinking of too many people I know, who do, in all honesty, believe some things should not be thought of, who would be pleased and think the world a better place if some thoughts were not allowed. They think it's for the greater good and often use that old phrase "It's for the children!" Protect your kids from actions, don't protect them from thoughts.
They want a world where only acceptable things exist, where they never have to run the risk of seeing something that offends them or runs counter to their beliefs. They yearn for that world. And they scare the hell out of me.
Why all the gaucho hate? I wore my gauchos to work on Monday and I looked spectacular.
You'll get my gauchos when you pry them out of my cold, dead hands!
Now the pants with the booty writing? Viva la revolucion!
I had a very disappointing sandwich from subway. the sandwich was actually fine. But since it was not turkey on a croissant and a cup of homemade bean soup from the food truck, it was disappointing. Damned events closing down street parking!! (and tomorrow, I have to park in a different place because they are closing down my parking lot for this mess!)
On another note, is it petty of me not to volunteer to assist at something I would ordinarily want to be a part of because I don't like one of the organizers? Still going to attend, just not bring food like I normally would.
yes? or were you looking for the other one?
Reporting connie to the Nightwatch
I love sending emails to people about to retire, asking if they've lined up someone else to provide a service to us or if we need to be patient until things are up and running.
It smacks of "are you competent?" but really it is more, uh...do we need to pick up some slack here?
oh, the other one. I only use board names on th eboard dontcha know.
CAFFEINE AT LUNCH, ION.
Fast food crash, just napped at my desk.
Damned events closing down street parking!!
