Well, the Thai king just said "blessings on you" to the coup-meisters, so I guess the guy in New York is out of a job.

Any word from Fay yet?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm tempted to get steak for lunch. Or linguine calamari. Or maybe tostinos.

I should probably put the menu away, right?

No. You should order all of those things and bring them to me.

I have now decided to walk down the street to the lunch truck, becuase he makes really good soup (choice of veggie, clam chowder or white bean), and I can get soup and a sandwich for $5.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think I'm gonna make chicken potato corn chowder for Em and Joe to live on for the weekend.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No. You should order all of those things and bring them to me.

You should just come up to Evanston... the food will still be hot that way.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I still remember with fondness a really kickass butternut squash soup I had at a restaurant on the New Jersey shore a few years back. Yuuuummm...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whee! First meeting of the morning done. Now I can lie down for a second or two before leaving for my transcranial doppler test.

Not lying down so much because I'm tired--I'm into today's first headache. But at least it's not yesterday's headache. It seems I have a sinus headache every morning. At least they don't usually last more than half an hour.

::sigh::

And in non-headache news...okay, I got nothing. But I'll work on something, I swear. I'm just not a soup fan. I am, though, a stone cold fan of good bread dipped into soup. That rocks.

Appropos of nothing, the Imperial Death March is playing on my computer right now, and it always makes me smile.
