Gah. Just sent off emails to my references. (Yeah, I could/should have done that before giving their names to the new prospective company. I'm aviody. This is not news.)

Now I'm fighting off the waves of conviction that they'll be all "a reference for a fuck-up like you? I don't think so." Which I know is not going to happen. But I'm still kind of freaking.

I'm not going to tell you what I think it was because then I'd be standing on the table screeching. And perhaps without pants. (One of those not that thing climbed up my two layer skirt when I was in my dad's office before a science fair in high school once. His windows faced the library. Needless to say, a lot of college students saw me in my underpants standing on dad's desk that day.)

These ones are brown (and a little bit less egregious). Really, I think I'm having more of a problem with the platform sole than with the suede or the colors. Yes, that and the "high gloss" of it all.

High gloss with suede is something I'd have to see before buying - seems like it could be jarring.
