"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My drinks are a cosmo, a fruit or soda rum drink, or a margarita, if I am somewhere where they make really margaritas. Wine at home or if someone else is drinking it. Mike's hard lemonade or Smirnoff Ice, if everyone else is having beer. That list makes it sound like I drink way more than I do. I usually only have one or two drinks a week.

I meant to post this earlier: Go, Trudy!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In 1977 I felt very strongly that you were either with Shaun or with Leif and I really was Shaun's girl... but, hey, when kissin' cover-boys one need not be picky.

Margaritas and gin and tonic are my drinks of choice, if we're discounting beer. But I do love my beer, as the size of my belly will testify.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Go, Trudy! Best birthday story!

Shaun Cassidy and Andy Gibb were my own, my preciouses.

Cindy, you and I would have been BFFs or hated each other because we would have fought over these two. I was, seriously, a member of the Andy Gibb Fan Club. (I have not told many people this. Please don't mock my sincere little 4th grade soul.)

I discovered yesterday that mojitos will NOT be playing a part in any future celebrating I do. Mine tasted like spearmint-flavored ass, and that's with fresh-squeezed sugar cane juice to sweeten it.

Is this one you made yourself? Because I find there are certain drinks I can never duplicate at home, no matter how hard I try. The capirihna is also in that category.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

"spearmint-flavored ass" is my new favorite phrase.

I've had some wonderful mojitos. Of course, at least one of those was in Central America. So perhaps they do it right there. I've never tried to make one on my own, though I do love the drink.

What is even happening?

I did not join the Fan Club (and would have been so jealous), but I did have his albums and an Andy Gibb T-shirt. I think I had two Shaun Cassidy T-shirts, but maybe just one album.

I think we would have been BFFs, and AmyLiz would have been right there, too. That was the fun of pre-teen celebrity crushes (and maybe is the fun of celebrity crushes, in general). It's fandom. It's a romantic/sexual aspect of it, but it's fun to share it, just like many things fandom.

This was at Bahama Breeze. Since their food is tasty, and they have lemon breezes of the gods, I assume that it was the basics of the drink rather than the execution that failed to appeal.
