Happy Birthday, Erika! May you have a year filled with the camaraderie in the face of darkness of Homicide, the intoxicating language and unexpected moment of grace of Deadwood, the friendship and humor of Buffy, and the depth and range and resepct for all kinds of people of The Wire.

erika, did you see Dana's post upthread that WGN is rerunning Homicide from the beginning. She said they ran the pilot, today. That gave me a little thrill, seeing as it's your birthday.
Now that is a perfect moment in the universe. Really. It makes me happy. Although it would be ultimately perfect if erika also got scads of dosh and had a sexy man peeling grapes for her on her birthday.
How was Vegas??
Good! How was Worcester?
Good! How was Worcester?
Probably like Vegas. Without the porn.

I don't know if that's an endorsement for Worcester or not. I may not have been there, but I know it's pronouced "Woosta."
Worcester has a bunch of titty bars inside city limits. So, as these things go, there is some porn.
NSM with the glitz and the glamor, and for gambling you still have to go to one of many Indian resorts, and I don't even know if you can get bananas-on-fire at a restaurant anyplace outside Boston proper. But the porn, that's the same.

Cindy and Nutty beat me to it.
Worcester was just fine, although I experienced no glitz, no glamour, no porn.
Spoken like someone who's never been to Worcester.
Worcester does have this - [link] - which surprised me. My oldest niece got married there in late June (she went to WPI and I'm 90% her husband did too). The weather was sucky, so they got married in the great hall; that was quite a setting.
