Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Finally watching the intro to Dawson's Creek. Katie Holmes used to maybe have her own brain? What a concept...

Heated a grain-y pack. It is happily resting against my hip. Ice on my finger and heat on my hip. God, I am old.

What is even happening?

Oh, my head. Why was the dude so familiar? Not just because he was Ponyboy, but IMDB informs me that I forgot he was in The Thirst, the movie whose premiere I went to a couple weeks ago because one of the krav instructors starred in it.

ita, did you watch 24, last season? CTH had a brief guest appearance on that, too.

But it's a coincidence close to the size of the one of the guy I had to talk to because of the crush-at-14 thing currently working on a movie written by a friend of mine.

Do we ever get to know who this is?

Cass, I didn't watch it in first run, but watched it last night, and now I want to watch it. Darn it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cindy, I think you meant to spoiler font the italics above, but since it's not "current season TV" anymore, I don't know that it needs spoilerfonting anyway.

Happy belated birthday, Lee!

Happy birthday, board! Um, seriously, people, we need some cash. I should have made a stronger pitch, maybe.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I watched a few episodes of Dawson's Creek when Owen was a baby. It was on every morning and my curiousity got the better of me.

Happy Birthday Lee!!

Happy Birthday Us!

Speaking which, Jesse, insent.

I had a friend from university stay with me this weekend. Free movies and free booze ensued. I am not quite in work shape this morning, (even though I drank only ginger-ale last night) but I will muddle through.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Remember I wasn't "around" during the 80s teen movie boom. I was in the UK, so I didn't see The Outsiders until way late, comparatively. These things aren't burnt into my brain the way they are for a lot of North Americans.

Do we ever get to know who this is?

Oh, sorry! I'm not being coy--I did mention him that very night--Mark Ryan, who was Nasir in Robin of Sherwood. That's how I was spending my 80s.

Whoops. I walked away. Thanks, Jesse. I just checked the FAQ, and it's not specific about this. I think I'll edit the old post, just in case.

I must have missed this first mention. I've been wondering, and when I first saw you mention CTH, for a moment, I wondered if he was the mystery crush, but then you went on to mention the crush again.

In relatedish news...

I have never seen nor read The Outsiders.

eta...

It's a little addictive.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The friend's movie also featured Jason Connery--Sean's son, and another star of Robin of Sherwood. But he wasn't a formative crush--Nasir may very well have pushed me further towards puberty--and he wasn't at the afterparty.

Nasir? Dayum! Laconic, double-sworded, lethal.

Mmm.

Bastards. We have crack!fic for these urges now but darn the original (okay, not really) crack is so compelling...

Previously insent but the pitch didn't seem desperate when I read it. Maybe it needed more exclamation points. Or a Nigerian prince.

To sum up, birthday Phoenix wants money!!!!
