I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I woke up cranky still, apologies for putting my crankiness up on the board last night.

I have done nothing on my to do list so far. But, what I have done:

opened a new 0% credit card, transferred some balances
went threw a box of business cards and threw out a ton
organized a desk drawer
cleaned up living room

now I am calling to cancel 2 Credit cards and hopefully get another 0% one online. I should probably pay down a balance while I am at it. I hate debt.

Our wings are not tired.

How is your face feeling this morning msbelle?

I have read a bunch of info on pigeons. Fed my guest popcorn and rice, and water. Contacted the organization that should contact the owner. It is an IF bird from the BWI club. The site says I should feed and water it a couple days then let it fly home. Pigeon likes popcorn.

hip deep in pie

msbelle's post made me realize I haven't paid bills in a while.

Ooops! Now I've somehow paid my Visa bill twice online.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

[ita, I realize I'm taking liberties, here] was along these lines: if the only damage done by an act is emotional, she's not so sure the law should involve itself

Cindy, NO. I never said anything of the sort. I'm trying to be done with the discussion, but I don't like seeing myself misrepresented.

What is even happening?

ita, I'm very sorry for misrepresenting you. I was too lazy to go back and look, and what you've quoted above was my restatement of these (two, separate) comments:

You've appealed to my emotional response. What I think is more important is my logical response. I don't see why I should care. Plenty of people already eat things I think are nasty and perform sex acts that make me wince and look away. I'm not about to start outlawing them because I think they are gross. I'd only want to outlaw them if I thought they were wrong.

...

Cindy, I'm leery of legislating to keep people's spirits up. There are plenty of legal ways to desecrate my mother's memory, hurt me deeply, and disgust me to the core. Where should the lawmakers start?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Morning!

I'm glad to see that Kalshane got through the night OK. Indeed, this is a fucked up situation at his work, and HR should be backing him up, if only to keep the company in a legally protected position....

Also, SA, the sour cream you can get in the UK and Ireland from France is cheap and fucking awesome. Get a couple of potatoes to make baked potatoes with chili and sour cream with.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Oh, Erin, that's also a good idea! I got stuff for chili, so I'm going to make that in a few minutes, and a can of tuna, which I can make last for two meals. I have some penne and half a jar of carbonara, so that's one day, and while I don't have milk I think I'm just going to have to go without for the next couple of days. I got digistive biscuits too, and tea and sugar to make sweet tea, which is steeping on the stove as I type. And there's the old fallback of peanut butter tucked away in the cupboard. So I think I'll make it! I only spent 11 euro at the grocery store too. That's like a record for me.

When I was a student in London, I was broke as fuck. I made a LOT of fried potatoes with onions and sour cream. Delish! And supa-cheap.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good cheap food: oatmeal, eggs (protein! filling and savory!), pasta.

For the price of one nice wedge of Parmesan you can make pasta with virgin olive oil and parmesan every night for a week and not feel deprived. It's fresh and delicious.

Also, if you have a spice rack, black bean soup is very easy to make and tasty. Though I don't know if you can readily get black beans in Ireland.
