Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Can anyone recomend some half way decent screenwtiting software that also happens to be free?

I dunno myself, but try googling 'free screenwriting software.' The first four or five matches have lists of software: [link]

"How come if God talks to Joseph Smith, he's a prophet- but if God talks to me, I'm schizophrenic?" -CJ Cox.

Thanks, I was looking at all that and there are several that have pretty decent descriptions, I was just curious if anyone here, amoung you literary bunch, had any recomendations.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

jubsews, it sounds counterintuitive, but I bet Minearverse is the place to find that out.

Librarian geekery alert:

Google to Offer Print-Archives Searches (requires log in)

From the article:

Google plans to announce on Wednesday that it is offering a service that will permit Internet users to search through the archives of newspapers, magazines and other publications and uncover material that in some cases dates back more than 200 years.
I'll be in my bunk.

Oh, that is just so cool.

I was just thinking the other day that in the future, people will think of the pre-internet days as a sort of dark ages, because of the small amount of info online compared to today. I mean, major info is available, but obscure info usually is not. There are some '80s bands that google turns up nothing on, wheras almost any current band that's released an album would be googleable.

jubsews, you can find a couple of programs, and some templates for MS Word that will work, but they never page out quite right. I'm sure, by asking for free software, you really don't have the cash to spare, but if it's anything at all serious for you, it's really much better in the long run to purchase either Final Draft or Screenwriter 2000
