Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, the image was obviously a bit of really bad judgement on the part of one blogger, and, worse, was muddled enough not to even get its intendend message, Lieberman as panderer and phony, across. And as soon as it came to light and someone pointed out how utterly tasteless it was, she removed it.

Very unfortunate, especially in the last days before the election. But really - a non-issue, IME. It's not like it was a Lamont staffer, or anyone particularly affiliated with him. When people like Michelle Malkin are leading the charge to make it a big deal, I call bullshit.

One of mr. flea's engineering PhD colleagues doesn't belive in evolution. Which, fine and all, but the funny thing is that they do a kind of work involving genetic algorithms, which is [handwave] some kind of mathy thing whose basic principle is that of evolution.

I have actually had someone say to me, "Well, I know I wasn't descended from some ape!"

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Strega, thanks! I did notice that one of the articles P-C linked to yesterday mentioned that in at least one poll, the belief that evolution is a solid, well-supported scientific theory was held most strongly by West Coasters, people with college degrees, people with center-to-left-of-center politics, and Catholics. Which tallies embarrassingly well with practically my entire meatspace social circle.

In completely other but Very Important news, in honor of this thread, I just found the most brilliant not-quite-random _______ generator EVAR: a Create your very own On Notice Board generator.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My brother and sister went into a bible store on a lark and saw a t-shirt that said, "Hot girls don't come from monkeys."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just booked my plane ticket for Thanksgiving

It's AUGUST. And just the start. Now I feel tired.

My brother and sister went into a bible store on a lark and saw a t-shirt that said, "Hot girls don't come from monkeys."

Oh, that? Anti-bestiality.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

But normal chicks get off from them?

Oh, it certainly doesn't make me feel any different on who I want to win the CT seat, but jeez people, think before you post inflammtory stuff, especially when the mainstream media has been parroting the meme that "bloggers are on a jihad for Leiberman".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But normal chicks get off from them?

Heh.

Besides, isn't it wrong for good conservative Crhistians to promote hot-chick-ness? Celebrating hot chicks could lead to almost certain temptation....

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have actually had someone say to me, "Well, I know I wasn't descended from some ape!"

It would be hard to resist saying, "I'm not so sure."
