Same-sex sounds interesting and (hopefully) easy to find (this is increasingly becoming a priority). Let me ERIC, and see if there's usable stuff that pops up.
Music looks interesting, but like there's a lot of not-useful to wade through.
I think there were some studies indicating the people who heard music when they were young and people who studied music did better in math.
Effect of home schooling on college performance? Parents' level of education? Number of mysterious deaths in high school?

Well, I can testify that playing classical music while my daughter did her homework helped her concentrate better. She started asking me to put in on for her!
Did you ever have something that you really needed to do, and you didn't want to, and you kept putting it off, for like years, and now you've set aside this time specifically for doing it, and you still don't want to, even though it would take maybe an hour and things will be better and you might even get some money out of it, and instead you're idling at the computer? What is that?

At one point, I put of going to the dentist for over ten years. When I finally went, it turned out OK, though. No cavities.
